Dr Malika Suresh
Agnes Blackie Fellow, Associate Investigator
Dr Malika Suresh joined the Centre in 2021 and is based out of the University of Otago. Her research interests include nonlinear optics optical microresonators, microwave/terahertz photonics, femtosecond laser micromachining. In 2023, Malika was awarded the Agnes-Blackie Research Fellowship by Te Whai Ao – Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies to further her career as an independent researcher as she combines her expertise with femtosecond lasers with an application in fabricating photonic devices. The fellowship also supports her interest in public outreach.
The Dodd-Walls Centre research focus is photonics, the generation, transmission, and manipulation of light, and the study of matter and energy at the quantum level.
