SGInnovate visit the Dodd-Walls Centre

The SGInnovate team recently had the privilege of visiting the Dodd-Walls Centre at the University of Otago. We met with Professor David Hutchinson, who introduced us to some of the latest developments in the world of quantum computing and photonics and had the opportunity to observe the manipulation of light at different labs.

During our visit, we hosted a sharing session with students about exciting opportunities across Singapore’s Deep Tech ecosystem. We were also able to introduce SGInnovate’ s Summation Programme, a three to six-months specialised Deep Tech apprenticeship programme that enables students and fresh graduates to work on real-world projects with startups while being mentored by industry experts and innovators. In addition to developing skills in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Robotics, the programme also covers stipends (up to NZD$7,000), living allowances (NZD$1,100)and flight tickets to Singapore and back.

SGInnovate is a private-limited company wholly owned by the Singapore Government. For more information, please visit www.sginnovate.com.
