Dr. Sara Miller was recognized by the University of Otago this year for their commitment to research excellence.

"The breadth and strengths of University of Otago research is evident in this year’s Otago Research Awards," stated Prof. Richard Blaikie as one of Te Whai Ao's own early career researchers was awarded the Early Career Awards for Distinction in Research.
Dr. Sara Miller was given this award for her research in vibrational spectroscopy coupled with multivariate analysis and its application to a wide variety of materials and complex systems including pharmaceutics, hard and soft tissues, and primary produce.
