While this result is down from the bumper year that was 2022, it is in line with our sustained successes in previous years. Starting in March, we will have about half (more than 25) of our investigators supported by Marsden grants across more than 20 Marsden grants, including a Marsden Fund Council Award. This is a truly incredible result and reflects the outstanding level of sustained achievement and talent within the CoRE.

Congratulations to everyone who was successful. Your hard work and sustained excellence paid off.

We know the hard work that goes into these proposals, so I want to thank everyone who took the time to write a proposal (EOI and second round) as success is often the result of repeated attempts, and I am sure some of you will be successful next year.

Ngā manaakitanga,

Frédérique Vanholsbeeck
