Output Awards are available for PhD students who have submitted their PhD thesis, and supports increasing the impact of their research through publication. Research oOutputs may include journal articles, book chapters, policy briefs, media articles, patent applications, or other outputs. To submit an application, click the buttons below.

The Output Award is valued at $4,000, and outputs must be demonstrated six months from the date of award.

How to access funding

Applicants must submit a plan for publication, and provide a report on the outputs produced within six months of funding being awarded. The funding is paid in two parts, the first when the Output Award is granted, and the second once the recipient's report is received.

Criteria

Restrictions

  • Applicants must be supervised by at least one Centre Investigator.
  • The topic of publication must align with the Centre's research programme.
  • The applicant must have submitted their PhD thesis within four equivalent full-time years.

Reporting Requirements

A completed Output Award report is required, and is due to be returned to the Science Team six months after the award is granted. The second funding installment is conditional on this report being received.
