About this funding
The Industry Travel Award supports Centre student and emerging members (following the Marsden Fast Start definition) to attend an industry conference relevant to their research, or to visit companies of relevance to future research commercialisation efforts.
How to access funding
Applications are considered monthly, and funding may be awarded up to $1500.
Members will not normally be granted more than one award.
Criteria
- Travel must support the development of future research commercialisation activities.
- Awardees will be expected to work with the science industry engagement manager to ensure they have a strategy for maximising strategic value of attendance/visit.
Reporting Requirements
Awardees are expected to attend an industry meeting within three months of the supported activity to give a 5-minute verbal report.
The Dodd-Walls Centre research focus is photonics, the generation, transmission, and manipulation of light, and the study of matter and energy at the quantum level.
